IT'S.......COOKING MONTH!!!:):)

I tell you...what I love about this blog is all our promising we do to make things exciting and keep posting, and the way we almost NEVER COME THROUGH!! Hahaha!! Sorry folks...had a lot of unexpected CRAZY just-life stuff happening lately but YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ALL THAT!! (Nosy!) What you DO need to know is from now till the second week in February, WE DO plan to come through for you (don't worry, we actually will, lol.) Tomorrow, the site will be transformed into:

"COOKING MONTH ON PECULIAR TREASURES!!!"

This ain't just no Martha Stewart, Paula Deen, Fancy shmancy pretty little dinner type cooking...

We're going to help you through the REAL-to-life cooking problems!!
 CAUSE' let's face it...a lot of you don't know the first thing about cooking...yo' Mama done all the work fo you!

But the COOL THING ABOUT THIS MONTH IS...WE don't really know THAT much about cooking either! But we'll let you in on what we know AND ALL MONTH...we're going to be learning about cooking ourselves. In a manner of speaking, you're going to be in our kitchens all month, learning with us! And hoo boy, what an adventure this is going to be...

Also, personal cooking stories, fire safety (HEY, beginners need to know this stuff...I set off the smoke alarms last month making a hot dog and almost gave my elderly grandmother a heart attack. DON'T EVEN ASK WHAT HAPPENED. ALL I KNOW is one minute it's cooking and the next it makes this "WHOOMP" noise and the whole pan turned black and started smoking somethin' FIERCE!!) Anyways, back to the list...recipes, ways to set your dinner table when you're in a hurry...

Oh, and for the first time EVER...Peculiar Treasures is going to have a GUEST WRITER!! (All the children clap and say YAY!) They're going to write us up whatever they feel on their hearts about cooking. And ALL IN ALL...I'm pretty sure this is one month you AIN'T GON' FORGET!!!!:):)
